Katharsis, an independent techno label based in Tokyo, is releasing a charity compilation of seven techno producers.

In Ishikawa Prefecture, which was severely damaged by the Noto Peninsula earthquake, water service is still not available in some areas even a month after the disaster, and nearly 10,000 people have been forced to evacuate from their homes. There were times when we wanted to turn our eyes away from the news reported on TV, but we decided to make this compilation a charity album in the hope of doing what we can as a label. All profits from the release until the end of March will be donated to the Noto Peninsula Earthquake Disaster Relief Fund.

Kochi-based producer Yuki Matsumura's dubious opening track, Lårry, a UK resident making his first visit to Japan for the upcoming 9th anniversary party, and Katharsis 004 debutant Sabatoj's synth riffs make for an impressive open-air track. Katharsis resident artist Kannabi's unique drum techno, a trippy downtempo track by Masafumi Take, and a new track by Katharsis 004's debutant Sabatoj, a trippy downtempo track by Katharsis 004's resident artist Kannabi. Debut track from Okayama-based DJ/producer Ryo Iwata. Experimental drum techno by Tokyo-based AMINA.
Mastering was done by Neel, also a member of the Voices From the Lake unit, at his studio in Rome.
We would like to thank all the artists involved in this album and extend our deepest sympathies to all those affected by the earthquake.

東京拠点のインディペンデントなテクノレーベル「Katharsis」から、7人のテクノプロデューサーによるチャリティコンピレーションをリリースします。

能登半島地震で甚大な被害を受けた石川県では、震災から1ヶ月経つ現在も水道が通っていないエリアがあり、1万人近い方々が自宅からの避難を強いられています。テレビで報道されるニュースに目を背けたくなる時期もありましたが、レーベルとしてできる範囲のことをやっていけたらと思い今作のコンピレーションをチャリティアルバムとすることとしました。リリースから3月末までの利益額を能登半島地震災害義援金に寄付させて頂きます。

高知市在住のプロデューサーYuki Matsumuraによる怪しげなオープニングトラック。UK在住でまもなく開催の9周年パーティに向けて初来日してくれるLårry。Katharsis 004でデビューを飾ったSabatojのシンセリフが印象的な野外向けトラック。KatharsisレジデントアーティストのKannabiによる異色のドラムンテクノ。Masafumi Takeが制作したトリッピーなダウンテンポ。岡山市在住のDJ/プロデューサーRyo Iwataのデビュートラック。東京拠点のAMINAは実験的なドラムンテクノを提供。マスタリングには、Voices From the Lakeのユニットでも活躍するNeelがローマのスタジオにて担当してくれました。
本アルバムに関わってくれた全てのアーティストに感謝申し上げると共に、地震により被害に遭われた皆さまへ、心からのお見舞いを申し上げます。
